Family names and Indigenous American heritage

Junkies hope you're having a wonderful day. I was just catching up on the podcast and you were talking about family names, changing after immigration and also families thinking that they have Native American or indigenous American blood within their lineage. But then they don't Um, my family did change their name a little bit after migrating from Italy, in the 40s and they dropped the U from Bueno to be Bono. Um, but that was on their own accord after they were here for a little bit. Also, I was always told, uh, as I was adopted that my paternal grandmother was 100% Native, American Born on a reservation, lived died on the reservation. Um, so that would make me 25%. Well, I did a genetic test to try to see if you know, that was true. Some truth behind it and um, unfortunately I'm not 25% indigenous American, I'm only 20.6%, but that just means there's something else in her line. So anyways, have a great day.
