Retired firefighter here. jeez, I wish people with Swiss cheese for brains would not come in on things, they know nothing about It's absolutely not a risk to Public Safety for that department to be doing that for that little boy's birthday party. We used to do that all the time. First of all, the truck is always in service. It's always in its Zone and it takes like 30 seconds to get a kid out of fire engine, if they drop a call. These are the same kind of people that you used to bitch at us for going to the grocery store. Uh while on duty as if working a 24-hour shift, we didn't need food. They used to say things like oh my taxes pay for you to be at the grocery store and my standard response would always be no sir your taxes pay for our dinner to be interrupted. Have a nice day. Jeez.
