A police department in central Illinois has two ongoing investigations surrounding its officers. They recently fired an officer involved in an incident last month where he was heavily intoxicated, on duty and in uniform, and he pulled his Taser instead of his wallet. The Illinois State Police is still leading the external investigation. Another officer decided to tender their resignation last week, with the department falling to two officers. The county now has to provide some police service.
