They had some concrete that had to come out to get replaced launch pad was still in use and is still in use but they had cut the power because we were cutting And, uh, I climbed the shuttle launch tower. All the way to the tippy tippy top, where the astronauts loaded onto the shuttle. There was a vertical ladder beyond that, that I climbed up and out of the hatch and was at the very tippy top, the only thing taller than me was the lightning rod on the top of the tower. That was pretty rare.
