Um, there sometimes can be differences in if both parties are negligent, but basically you're responsible for the damage that you that your dog uh causes The tough part is catching people. A lot of times, uh, like in this case, it sounds like he just ran away and if nobody knows who he is where he lives, uh, then litigation can be tough. Uh, they're also, uh, most cities have got leash laws, so if you don't have your dog on a 6 foot leash, uh, that's controlled by somebody who is old enough and strong enough to control them.
