MGM has over 48,000 rooms on the strip and currently all slot machines are offline, the reward system is offline, guest room access may be impacted and they are only taking cash. Oh yeah, and the ATMs are down. The hackers are allegedly demanding a huge ransom to stop the attack.
The MGM resorts website is also down at the moment. This appears to be a massive security breach, very rare for a casino of this size to have such an issue play out publicly. Probably not the last time this is going to happen, either.
