Buried in this NYT piece about Honduras, a prescient quote from Hillary Clinton:

“I fully expect Iran to pull some stunt in the next couple of days because they know sanctions are on the way,” she said Sunday. “I think we’ll see something coming up in the next 24 to 48 hours where Iran says, ‘Wait a minute, wait a minute, look what we’re going to do now.’ ”

Taliban Rebuffs ‘Lunatic’ Clinton Offer

Another blow to the idea that we can negotiate our way out of international gridlocks. You’ve got Iran and Venezuela mocking the President and the Taliban ‘moderates’ calling Hillary a loon. Oh the joys of the olive branch technique… here’s the report.

Clinton: ‘Never Waste A Good Crisis’

Think about what we can do with health care and climate change with all of this fear in the air. That’s essentially what Hillary Clinton is saying here. Here’s the quote…

Clinton told young Europeans at the European Parliament global economic turmoil provided a fresh opening: “Never waste a good crisis … Don’t waste it when it can have a very positive impact on climate change and energy security.”

DeMint and Vitter were the Nay votes… Cornyn votes yea.

Hillary Clinton was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the next secretary of state Wednesday, after questions about her husband’s foundation sidetracked her nomination for a day.

A number of senators said before the vote that Clinton, who traveled and met with foreign dignitaries around the world during her time as first lady, is uniquely qualified for the job.
