What Will Happen To Amanda Knox?

Expecting a verdict soon in the Amanda Knox case… background to start:
The body of Meredith Kercher was discovered by Italian police at the cottage that she shared with other students in Perugia on November 2, 2007. The 21-year-old British student, who was part of a university exchange programme, was found lying partially clothed under a duvet in her bedroom. Her windpipe had been crushed and throat partially slashed.
On November 6, 2007, police arrested three suspects, Patrick Diya Lumumba, owner of a local bar[1];Amanda Knox an exchange student from Seattle, Wa, USA; and Raffaele Sollecito, an Italian student. Lumumba was later released and exonerated.
Both Defense and Prosecution have rested, the jury is deliberating.

Jury retires in Meredith Kercher murder case:
The jury has begun its deliberations in the trial of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito, who are accused of murdering and sexually assaulting British student Meredith Kercher.
Verdict possible within the next 12 hours.
Knox family prepares two statements ahead of verdict:
If she’s acquitted, the family of Amanda Knox will hold a half-hour news conference at a Perugia hotel.
If Knox is found guilty, they’ll make a few statements, take no questions and leave.
UPDATE: VERDICT REACHED – WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT 6PM EASTERN

Knox’s aunt, Janet Huff of West Seattle, told KING-TV she is holding onto her BlackBerry like it’s a lifeline. Huff says she had been in touch with Knox’s parents on Friday. They are waiting in Perugia, Italy, as the jury deliberates in their daughter’s murder trial.
AMANDA KNOX FOUND GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS
Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito have been found guilty of murdering British student Meredith Kercher.
The American woman was sentenced to 26 years in jail and her Italian ex-boyfriend was given 25 years.
Amanda Knox’s family vows to appeal the decision.
Amanda broke down upon hearing the verdict… slouched in her chair and was audibly crying. She and Sollecito were quickly removed from the scene.
BIG QUESTION: Was Amanda Knox convicted because of her drug use and sexual liaisons? There didn’t seem to be much in the way of concrete evidence against her. The prosecutor has a ton of previous marks on his record and may end up serving time himself. So why ‘GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS’?
Update: Meredith Kercher’s family is reportedly pleased with the verdict.

I'm glad, that Meredith is dead. What a bitch, for causing trouble for Amanda to get into trouble like this. Yes Amanda, is very innocent and she is wrongfully accused for murdering this ugly victim.
The prosecutors, are the blame for putting Knox is jail like this wtf. You know, I hope someday there will be a lawsuit, against these SOB's of a law who put a young innocent girl in jail. Who gives, a fuck about the victim's family, I could careless about them. I'm sure. they are celebrating an innocent young girl going to jail.

I am saddened to hear such hateful words come from so many people. I hope that Meridith’s family can get peace. I was not at Amanda’s trial, therefore I do not know the evidence against her. Yes, she is an American but it is disgusting and prejudice to think that all Americans have no conscience. Whether she is innocent or guilty still remains a mistery but the truth will reveal itself in time.
