Still waiting for fresh details on this story…:
Four police officers were shot to death in the Lakewood area about 8:15 a.m. this morning by a scruffy looking man who walked into a coffee shop and fired multiple gunshots.
All four were pronounced dead by medics inside Forza Coffee at 11410 Steele Street South, said Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer.
“It’s carnage out front everywhere,” Troyer said, describing the front of the coffee shop. “It’s like a bad horror movie, it’s horrible.”
First reports said there may have been more than one shooter and that at least one of those shooters may have been a black male but, as always, take those with a grain of salt.
Here’s a snapshot from the scene:

A screen grab from KING5 television shows numerous law enforcement agencies heading to the scene where multiple Lakewood Police Officers were shot and some confirmed dead at the Forza Coffee Company Sunday morning, Nov. 29, 2009, in the Lakewood, Wash, area.

Seattle police are already preparing several warrants.
More details on the suspect(s?):
Troyer said police were searching for a black man in his 20s or 30s, between 5-feet-7 inches and 5-feet-10-inches, who fled the scene.
The man was wearing a black coat and blue jeans, Troyer said.
A second suspect might have been with the man, Troyer said.
No word yet on a motive.
This did not happen in Seattle. It happened in Lakewood, Washington, which is a suburb of Tacoma. The Seattle police are not issuing any warrants as it is NOT in their jurisdiction.
