Memo to employees says ‘keep screwing up those on-screen graphics and you’ll find yourself in the unemployment line, sucka.’ Not quite a word-for-word transcription but read the note and you’ll get the point.
The real question here is being ignored. I can see how the ‘news anchors’ throughout the day have to be reliant on staffers to do their show-prep and get the facts right. But the opinion hosts should have a stranglehold on everything that hits the screen. Nothing goes on-air during my radio show unless I’ve previewed it or edited it myself beforehand. You just can’t trust people to help you with things like this. All it takes is one lazy or partisan staffer to screw things up and make you look like a jackass. So why aren’t the opinion hosts keeping better track of what hits the air? Everyone benefits from a tight ship.
