Never underestimate the lunacy of Kim Jong Il. The tiny leader of the hermit nation of North Korea is a big fan of movies. It’s been said that his collection fills several rooms in his Pyongyang home. What if he wanted to create an explosive flick of his own, right here in the real world?

The United States has nearly 30,000 troops on standby in South Korea and military officials in Seoul are lining up warships offshore. Everyone…

Just a few hours ago, the sirens went up and Obama announced he would nominate Sonya Sotomayor for the open Supreme Court slot. In those few hours, the arguments for and against are already quite apparent. Obama supporters and those on the left seem to like the pick. They paint Sotomayor as a bright, accomplished jurist destined for the nation’s highest court. Detractors are already digging up money quotes sure to be repeated during the confirmation process. Weighing the debate…

Asgaard Media filmed the Hausers leaving on a chartered jet from an undisclosed location and returning to New Ulm.
Many miles traveled… yet nothing has changed.
Watch this video, you’ll see what I mean.

Update: Judge rules Daniel can stay with family only if he resumes chemo treatment.

We’ve been talking about this story for a few days now so I felt obliged to give you this update as it comes across the wires. Daniel Hauser, a 13-year-old boy suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, has resurfaced in Minnesota with his mother. No further details were immediately provided but we can only hope his mother has come to her senses.

I’m expecting a press conference on this around 5PM Central.
More details to follow. Let’s hope we got…

Another day in the ‘most open administration‘ ever.
The ‘report’ is above. Click play and watch away.
Let’s start this discussion with a flashback. It’s 2005, the Bush administration is producing reports on the war in Iraq and the media is ripping them to pieces for it. And it wasn’t just the Iraq war being featured in government-produced news segments, there were reports on administration policies, farm prices and a bevy of other subjects. NBC, one of…

The big buzz today is all about the battle of whits (albeit on different battlefields) between former Vice President Dick Cheney and President Barack Obama. But flying around just under the radar is a poll refuting the argument that Dick Cheney’s recent actions have been bad for Republicans. 41% of Americans now have a ‘favorable’ opinion of the former Vice President, up from 33% in January.

The ‘Polling Director’ for CNN, Keating Holland, takes a bizarre angle on…

We talked about this on Saturday night’s show. A family in Minnesota lost a court battle after refusing to treat their son who is suffering from Hodgkin’s Disease. With chemotherapy, Daniel Hauser has around a 90% chance of surviving. If his parent’s get their way, he’s destined to die in a sea of herbal remedies crib from their bizarre Indian religion.

The son has clearly been brainwashed into believing that chemo and doctors are the enemy and figs…

She’s on Obama’s short list. She’s the Governor of Michigan. And she’s Canadian.

Could Jennifer Granholm be the first Canadian to serve on the United States Supreme Court. As far as I can tell, the only other foreigner to serve on the Court was an Austrian-born man named Felix Frankfurter. He was appointed to serve on the nation’s most powerful stage by FDR. But Granholm (along with the two openly-gay women supposedly on the President’s short list) would…

New Yorker scribe Seymour Hersh jumped the shark in April with his ‘assassination squads‘ nonsense — a claim backed up by no evidence whatsoever. And now Hersh wants to rewrite history in Pakistan. The man who tosses out headlines that never really stand up to any real scrutiny now claims that an assassination squad (his new favorite conspiracy) set up by Dick Cheney was behind the murder of Benazir Bhutto. Once again, Hersh decided to drop a bomb…

The Vice President does this country a great disservice by not telling this loon that his half-cocked conspiracy theory is a bunch of rubbish. Eventually, Joe Biden gets tired of listening to the bearded questioner and he heads off. He should have turned and stared this fool down, refuting his claims in front of the gathered press. Then again, I guess we’re lucky he didn’t let the nuclear launch codes slip.

No shocker here; Drew Peterson pleads ‘not guilty’ at a court appearance this morning. His attorney is also asking for a judge-swap in the case. Peterson is doing everything he can to lower his bail to an amount he can post but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. The real question here is… could there be a person on this planet who would be sympathetic to Drew Peterson?

I can answer that in 9 letters: O.J. Simpson.

Tucker Carlson leaves MSNBC with one less Republican commentator. The once bow-tied host heads to Fox News for a shiny new contributor gig. He’s been a bit off the radar as of late, surfacing to pen a few lines for The Daily Beast here and there.
Joining Carlson will be former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino.

I’ve always liked Carlson. He’s not afraid to push the Libertarian line and hang out with people like Dennis Hoff or Bubba…

Here are the photos you weren’t supposed to see.
Scroll ahead to about 7 minutes for the controversial shots. These are a few among many that the President was attempting to block only days after he was attempting to release them. Now, Obama finds himself in an even more precarious situation as his argument for releasing the terror documents (the information was already public) fits this situation like a glove. This, my friends, is a catch-22.
These photos were…
