Just found this gem on YouTube… Rahm Emanuel in May 2007:
Focus in on 1:14… “If you are on the no-fly list, because you are known as maybe a possible terrorist, you cannot buy a handgun in America”. “If you’re on that no-fly list, you’re access to the right to bear arms is canceled because your not part of the American family”.
Wow.
To put this in perspective, there are now more than 1 million names on the post 9/11 no-fly list. Of those 1 million, many are bound to be citizens in the United States put on the list by mistake. From 5-year-old kids to 80-year-old men to freaking Ted Kennedy, there are loads of people on the no-fly list who aren’t a threat to this country or it’s security. Many of them, Ted Kennedy included, certainly have the right to bear arms. Let’s see if the Obama administration tries to muscle something along these lines through Congress. Do you think it would have any chance of passing?
