Some nutjob is fuming about CBS’ new ‘communications’ hire:
Today, I learned that CBS News named Jeff Ballabon, a New York Republican activist, to serve as the Senior Vice President of Communications.
What is CBS thinking? This guy is very far out there with his partisan rhetoric.
How dare CBS News hire someone who isn’t a card-carrying Obama fan. Reading this fool’s rant at the Huffington Post may make you want to explode but I suggest you do it anyhow. Are you grasping this? If every media hire was scrutinized this way during the Bush Administration we’d all be watching ‘Friends’ reruns on CNN.
Note to Ira Forman, it’s OK to disagree politically. We don’t have to all join ranks and fall in line to continue to be the greatest country on the planet. In fact, the opposite is arguably true. If Ira got his way (and let’s hope he never does) the only employable people in this country would be Democrats. Somehow I doubt one SVP of Communications will have a noticeable effect on CBS’ news coverage.
This is exactly what the left has been saying for the last eight years, no? “Dissent is patriotic”? But its not that simple, it seems like some people will not be happy until all dissent is quashed and everyone is living in unicorn and lollipop land with them.
Holy shit! Unicorns are real?
Dissent is one thing. Partisanship is another. To claim that Democrats (or Republicans) across the board are not good people is stupid and divisive.
