Joe Biden makes an error that I’m sure Rick Sanchez will be sure to point out this afternoon…
“But what I don’t understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do?,” asks Joe Biden while on the Early Show.
And That rhetorical question to Governor Jindal on the CBS morning show, was followed with this. “in Louisiana there’s 400 people a day losing their jobs, what’s he doing?” asks Biden.
But that claim is wrong, if you look at the numbers from the Louisiana Workforce Commission. “In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release that added employment over the month,” says Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. According to her, not only is Louisiana not losing jobs. “The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment,” Granier said of the most recent figures.
I take a shot at CNN’s Rick Sanchez above because he jumped all over Bobby Jindal yesterday and once again he lacked those ‘pesky’ facts real reporters live by. Sanchez said of Jindal’s response to Obama’s address (whoa, that’s a mouthful) ‘there is no rail line from vegas to disney world, why does he say that?’ Well, Rick, the fact is there are billions of dollars slated for progressive rail projects. The most high-profile of those projects is a discussed plan to create a high-speed railway between Las Vegas and Disney World. So it’s certainly possibly, plausible, even, that bailout funds will head to this particular project. It isn’t, as you suggested, as figment of Jindal’s imagination. That said, will Sanchez mention this new Biden gaff? Doubtful.
