14-time Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps snapped with a bong:
“He didn’t know many people so you’d think he’d be a little shy. But he was loud, obnoxious and slamming beers from the get-go.
“Every girl wanted a piece of him and every guy wanted to be his best buddy. He couldn’t get enough of all the attention.”
As he basked in his hero status, Phelps knocked back beers and shots of spirits. And when a student offered him the glass bong engraved with red writing, he did not hesitate, says our source.
The 6ft 4ins athlete, in a white T-shirt and navy cap worn back to front, clasped the device in his huge hands and inhaled deeply.
Our source said: “You could tell Michael had smoked before. He grabbed the bong and a lighter and knew exactly what to do.
“He looked just as natural with a bong in his hands as he does swimming in the pool. He was the gold medal winner of bong hits. Michael ended up getting a little paranoid, though, because before too long he looked like he was nervous and ran out of the place.”
Upside: He immediately gets some much needed press.
Downside: He loses any sponsors that are funding his exploits…
Regardless of how it pans out, it was clearly a bonehead move…

Meh. No big deal. His only real mistake was letting some fool take his picture whilst partaking in the Wacky Weed.
But, sadly, you’re probably right, some of his sponsors will probably drop him. Unless of course, he makes a tearful apology, explains that he “has a problem” and immediately admits himself into rehab.

Come on. This was probably the first time this guy had been to a party. He talks like he is slow, and kinda looks like it too. He doesn’t exactly seem like the brightest cookie in the box.
It seems like a set-up. “Hey come to this party, smoke this bong while we snap a picture.”
You’d think he would have had enough brains to drop the bong and run out as soon as the picture was snapped.
Guess all he’s good at is swimming, definately not logic.

he is so dum why would he do such a thing……i kno he is slow and all but he should kno not to do that. watever i never likrd him anyway he is a great swimmer and all but i nver thought he was cute or anything i just thought that was a stupid mistake.
You took the words right out of my mouth!!! I’m a 33 year old married mother and high school teacher, and although I have never done drugs, I must admit that I’m on Phelps side. If this is the worse things our kids ever did the world would be a wonderdful place. Spread the love and support the young man. Growing up is hard, he’s learning and doing a great job becoming a man. Think of all the stupid stuff we’ve done growing up, the only difference is that noone gave a crap who we were and they weren’t running around taking pictures of what we did and showing the world!
