What’s Wrong With Drew Carey?
Someone got a PERFECT Bid on the Price is Right showcase showdown (12/16/08)
OK, so some guy beats the odds and guesses the exact price of his portion of the Showcase Showdown on the Price is right — something that hasn’t been done in 30+ years — and Drew Carey sounds like he’s ready to take a nap on the stage? Where’s the enthusiasm?
The Price Is Right has been in a ratings freefall since the departure of Bob Barker and in a moment bound to gain some attention Drew rushes to a commercial break? I know what you’re thinking: who cares, there are bigger fish to fry. Agreed. But I think someone needs to have a long talk with Drew to see if there isn’t something else on his mind these days. He’s tried to kill himself at least twice in the past and his lack of preparation or enthusiasm these days leads me to believe he’s headed for round three. Still though, what an amazingly lucky guess.

Man, I agree. When I first saw that video, I think I showed more emotion than he did.
Maybe he wasn’t feeling well. Who knows. I don’t watch the show, but I did see a clip a couple of weeks ago where some kid won every game on there and it was his 21st birthday that day. It was pretty cool. Drew seemed all right then.

Heck, if he is that much of a mess (emotionally, that is) he might be on so many meds, he wouldn’t show any emotion if aliens landed in front of him and made him King of Mars.

Yeah, he does. I remember hearing not too long ago that he was carrying on with the spayed and neutered thing until he found his own shtick.
