Prop 8 in California, banning gay marriage in the state – again, passed…
Florida voters passed Amendment 2, which bans gay marriages in the state…
Measure 11 in South Dakota and Measure 48 in Colorado, both of which attempted to ban abortion to some extent in those states, failed by what seems to be a rather comfortable margin.
Possession of less than an ounce of pot is now a $100 fine in MA thanks to Question 2. Question 3, banning dog racing in the state, also passed with flying colors.
Washington voters approved Initiative 1000 which legalizes assisted suicide there…
Finally, Michigan voters approved embryonic stem cell research funding. Barely.
excuse me while I go cling to my guns and Bible, and vote for Obama
Maybe … just maybe this time the courts will leave the california voters DECISION ALONE and quit trying to legislate.
It is a government by the people, right?
Or is that “by the people only when it agrees with my beliefs?”
I also think Washington is dead on target with assisted suicide. After having watched my father suffer from cancer, there were times when he wanted it to end, but the almighty stated said … NOPE! You gotta die a painful death!
No, the tyrrany of the majority does not have the power to deny rights from the minority. THAT IS WHAT THE COURTS ARE FOR, you F’ing idiot. Why don’t you read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights some time
Wow Bitsy, such vitriol. I figured you’d be in a much better mood this week.
