Joe Biden’s Latest Tall Tale
BIDEN: Can I respond? Look, all you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie’s Restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy of this administration has made them better off in the last eight years. And then ask them whether there’s a single major initiative that John McCain differs with the president on. On taxes, on Iraq, on Afghanistan, on the whole question of how to help education, on the dealing with health care.
Look, the people in my neighborhood, they get it. They get it. They know they’ve been getting the short end of the stick. So walk with me in my neighborhood, go back to my old neighborhood in Claymont, an old steel town or go up to Scranton with me. These people know the middle class has gotten the short end. The wealthy have done very well. Corporate America has been rewarded. It’s time we change it. Barack Obama will change it.
Just one tiny little problem with that story, Joe. Much like your tall tale of being forced down in Afghanistan and about a million others you tell on the campaign trail (let’s not forget the ‘I’m a coal miner’ line, that was hilarious!) it’s just a bit off the mark. In this case, Biden wanted you to believe that he’s some sort of ‘everyman’. Biden’s the guy who wanders through his neighborhood and hangs out a places like ‘Katie’s Restaurant’ and ‘Home Depot’ (seriously, who spends ‘a lot of time’ in Home Depot?). The problem: This Katie’s Restaurant that Joe frequents? It hasn’t existed in more than 10 years. It folded while Bill Clinton was in office.
Oh well, I guess there’s always Home Depot.

Joe Biden did a great job in the debate, and 100% of the undecided voters in the audience thought he was prepared to be president. Only 40% of the audience thought Palin was prepared.
It’s true, Biden did very well in the debate. I for one was surprised, I thought Palin was going to hand him his hat. I thought they both did well.
But when he said the line about Home Depot, my waife looked at me and said “Yeah, Biden spends a lot of time a Home Depot” and rolled her eyes. He spends a lot of time on Amtrak, too.
I wish I could afford to live in Joe Bidens neighborhood. But I would like to own a 8,750 sq foot home, on 4 acres, on a lake, worth $2.8 million. Nice digs for senator who makes $169,000, and a wife who’s a school teacher. Gee I wonder if there was any dirty dealings in him getting this house. Do you know any developers Joe? I’m sure there aren’t too many people hurting in Joe’s neighborhood. He along with BHO and McCain and all the other corrupt congressmen/women just bailed them all out. California’s next, Arnold has spent California into bankruptcy. He should terminate spending. Asta La Vista financial integrity. Connecticut is next, they have a $300 million shortfall this year. YOUR RIGHT BIDEN DID TAKE AMTRAK AT A COST OF $194.00 ROUND TRIP PAID FOR BY THE U.S. TAXPAYERS. ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS PER WEEK TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. HE LIVES IN A $2.8 MILLION DOLLAR HOME ON 4 ACRES, HOW WAS HE ABLE TO AFFORD THAT HOME ON A SENATORS SALARY AND A TEACHERS SALARY?

Everybody thinks Biden did great in the debates! WHY?? He looked good and sounded great is that what you mean? He told great lies and did not state facts, but he looked nice?
Give me a break! The man lied, the moment had to be about Obama not saying he would meet with Iran.. That was classic Biden.. I guess he forget he was on the same stage with Obama and Clinton with Obama said YES, he would meet with Iran without any pre-conditions. He spoke to America and lied and you still said he won the debate.. Folks walk away from the Kool-Aid.. please!
Obama stated on the Reilly interview that he attended Rev. Wright’s church 2-3 times per month. Hmmm… that’s 24-36 times per year, times 20 years, or between 480-720 sermons that he listened to Wright spew his hatred for America. Those are the real numbers folks! Is Obama wanting us REALLY believe that he NEVER heard any of that hatred? To paraphrase Obama as he said in one his speeches, “What, do they think were stupid?
