I just finished watching Oliver Stone’s ‘W’. I have to tell you, and as the headline suggests, I can’t believe I’m saying this — It was quite good. Does ‘W’ paint George Bush as some half wit incapable of leading a nation in a time a war? I would argue, no. Does it unnecessarily focus on Bush’s troubles as a young man in Texas? Maybe so. But, in the end, it wasn’t nearly the ’slash-and-burn’ flick that I expected. I enjoyed it and, though I cringed at times when Stone clearly made up dialog to cast Bush in an unfavorable light, I imagine you might just like it as well.

Well, I must say I’m shocked.
I didn’t have any plans to see it, but now I’ll have to check it out.
I heard 9/11 is barely touched, if at all. Is this true? If so, that is enough for me to call it a POS.
Might be good in the sense that Alexander the Gay was good. So bad that it’s good.
9/11 isn’t even mentioned… it just goes straight to Iraq… but it’s definitely interesting… there’s something mesmerizing about Brolin’s portrayal of Bush that is as at-times-cringe-worthy yet still somehow impressive as the man himself.
