I make it a point to cover much more than politics here on the site and on The News Junkie radio show as well. However, with such little time left before the election, it’s now time to point all focus toward election coverage. This will end on the 5th of November, at which point we will go back to the format you’ve become so used to — Politics, News and Hot Topics. For now, buckle up…
I’ll be focusing on…

JOHN MCCAIN: I’ve served my country since I was 17 years old.
And, spent five years longing for her shores.
I came home dedicated to a cause greater than my own.
We can grow our economy.
We will cut government waste.
Don’t hope for a stronger America.
Vote for one.
Join me.
ANNCR: McCain.
John McCain: I’m John McCain and I approve this message.

Late yesterday I spent about 10 minutes on the phone with New Mexico Governor and former presidential candidate Bill Richardson. The Governor ruffled some feathers when he endorsed Barack Obama over long time friend Hillary Clinton a few months back. Richardson tells me the rift between he and Clinton still exists and may never fade. He also gave up some decent insight into the Obama’s campaign’s movements and strategies in these final few days.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Police raided a wedding between a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl in Pakistan’s largest city, arresting the Muslim cleric officiating at the ceremony and the children’s parents, a senior officer said Friday.
The cleric had not yet begun the ceremony in Karachi, which was attended by 100 guests, said deputy superintendent of police Malik Mazhar.
Pakistan law forbids marriage below the age of 18, but some Muslim scholars say it is permissible if the bride

The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states — and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president!
The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs — and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Despite pleas

I had a chance to talk with Senator Sam Brownback, who is currently working with the McCain campaign, earlier this afternoon. The last time I spoke with Senator Brownback he was running for President himself. We talk about the current state of the presidential race as well as his thoughts on some of the more controversial barbs thrown at Obama in the past few months. It was an interesting conversation and what follows is completely unedited audio of the call.…

A source said Edwards is no longer living with Elizabeth and that the couple have separated. But reps for Elizabeth Edwards did not return calls and e-mails.
Take a look at the photos above, snapped at a recent Elizabeth Edwards appearance at George Washington University, and you’ll noticed that she clearly isn’t wearing a wedding ring.

What famed guitar player just came out as a ‘lifelong, hardcore Republican‘?
“I’ve been a hardcore Republican my whole life,” he told the Herald. “My mother and father drilled into me from the very start that if you work hard and be positive, you’ll get what you’re working for. I guess I’m living proof of that.”
