PETA: Use Human Breast Milk
WATERBURY, Vt. — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Inc., urging them to replace cow’s milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk, according to a statement recently released by a PETA spokeswoman.
“PETA’s request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow’s milk in the food he serves,” the statement says.
PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health.
I saw this floating around after a post on the PETA blog yesterday morning. I was going to ignore it and toss it off as a publicity stunt by the moronic animal killers but Peeved Guy hit me up via email and I noticed there was a poll on the subject. Believe it or not, more than 5,000 people have voted for breast milk over cow milk. Though cow milk is taking in the vast majority of the vote, that’s still insane. I like breasts just as much as the next guy but I’m not biting on this one. Luckily the crazy freaks over at Ben & Jerry’s seem to be on the same page — on this one issue.
And, yes, I totally posted this just so I could use the photo above…

These PETA people are a joke, does anyone take them seriously anymore?
I think they’re motives are less about protecting animals and more about self-fame and attention… but the photo above is nice enough to make the whole thing worthwhile!

BTW, you realize of course that you will likely get the “you’re sexist because you covered up that guys dangly-bits with a cheeseburger” post any time now.
The cheeseburger was actually covering up that guys goods though… this isn’t showing anything. If there was some skin in the pic… the cheeseburgers would return!

I like breasts…… and milk.
Ben and Jerry’s could use any kind of milk they want I have never bought there Ice Cream and never will no matter what kind of milk they use.
This could replace the factory dairy farms, women geting pregnant, then having third tri-mester abortions just so they could sell their breast milk to make ice creeam. You will always be able to tell the factory breast milk sellers, thier breasts will hang down to their knees. I worked on a dairy farm, I would much rather milk a hot girl (even an ugly girl) than a ol heifer. I would want to work in the factory that keeps impregnating the women.
I have great visions of a breast milk farm
