Gustav Chugs Toward New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Lines of people waiting for buses to take them out of the city grew longer Saturday and traffic grew heavier on main highways as Hurricane Gustav strengthened into a dangerous Category 4 storm on track for the Gulf Coast.

Casey Anthony Arrested, Booked

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the Anthony home shortly before 8:30 p.m. More than half dozen vehicles – some marked and some unmarked – pulled up to the house. The lead detective – Yuri Melich – got out and went inside the home.

Moments later, the door cracked open, showing Casey Anthony inside standing near Sgt. John Allen, who is supervising the investigation. The crowd who was gathered outside cheered. Someone yelled, “she’s in handcuffs.”

Obama Fans Need More Than Change

Juan Bonilla, who has managed the parking lot outside Ponce Furniture for more than three decades, set a record Thursday.

Bonilla, wearing a reflective vest with a Barack Obama pin, persuaded several ticket-holders to pay $80 to park in a prime spot near Invesco Field at Mile High.

Report: DNA Proves Caylee Is Dead

According to sources close to the investigation, DNA tests that were conducted on a stain and hair samples found in the trunk of the car Casey Anthony was driving indicate that her daughter, 3-year-old Caylee Anthony, is dead.

This latest news comes as little shock after yesterday’s revelation that test results of air samples that were taken from the car allegedly show that a decomposing human body had been inside the trunk.

Breakthrough In Casey Anthony Case

Air sample tests from Casey Anthony’s car show a decomposing human body was inside the trunk, a sheriff’s office official just confirmed.

Officials have offered Anthony a partial immunity deal if she admits 3-year-old Caylee Marie died as a result of an accident. If she takes the deal, any information Anthony provides to law-enforcement could not be used against her in prosecution.

Delegates Ready For DNC Roll Call

Delegates at the Democratic National Convention are filling out their tally sheets Wednesday to be turned in quickly so the roll call for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton can begin promptly at 5 p.m. ET.
