New McCain Ad Features… Paris Hilton?

Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in a John McCain ad? I never thought I’d see the day. This is basically a Barack Obama ad with negative text over it. I don’t know how showing Obama’s popularity will hurt either him or the DNC and putting Obama on par with Britney and Paris seems a little childish to be honest. I guess I just don’t see the point of this ad. Anyone else confused?

Obama was publicly against attacking Iraq which John McCan’t continues to suggest is a war we have to win because we have to fight the terrorists there, otherwise we would have to fight the here, however these statistics make his argument frivolous:
42% of terrorist organizations end because they become part of legitimate politics.
40% of terrorist organizations end because they are caught through law enforcement.
10% of terrorist organizations end because they win their objectives.
7% of terrorist organizations end because of military intervention.
TELL ME WHAT WE ARE DOING IN IRAQ?

I would like to see a reference also. I just read in a political science book. “That most terror organizations like communism, will end because they do not put food an anyones table”.(Political Science, Roskin, pg. 413) Although on the next line it says “Islamic extremism has been around since the 14th century”. Their putting food on someones table.

I don’t know I don’t have anything better than that. Why did we go into Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, why are we in Columbia, or Afghanistan? America believes we can make the world a better place. We succeded in WWI and WWII, failed in Korea and Vietnam. My belief, “bring home the troops, drop the nukes, let Allah sort them out”. The world would ba a much, much safer place without Islam. Bring back the religious crusades.

That is an interesting set of data. I would be keen to see the list of terrorist groups that were included in the study (no, I’m not keen enough to pay the $30. Yes I am a cheapskate). I have to agree with BADBOYME to the extent that we seem to have a 47% reason for being there. I don’t think that al Qa’ida’s motivation for doing what they are doing is to simply change the political direction for one region or country but the entire world. Hence, they can’t be absorbed into the political structure of the region (hell, that didn’t even work with Snn Fein/IRA and that was just Ireland, not the entire Middle East/Asia). They may use the “US out of the Middle East” as an excuse, but I really believe that they will only be appeased when every nation on Earth is an Islamic state. Do I think that every Muslim falls into that category? No, just the nutjobs associated with al Qa’ida.

Paris Hilton yes. Britney, however, has a had a long career as a singer, dancer, entertainer. I mean she’s really screwed up lately but she was a very hard working woman. Maybe they should have shown Paris Hilton and George Bush who’s failed at every endeavor he’s ever tried. except for Hazing pledges in the fraternity where he forced guys to get naked, be anally probed and perfom oral on him. One last thing, the reason we try to turn other countries into democracies is their has never been a war between 2 democratic nations. Why wouldn’t we want every nation a democracy.
that must be one interesting political science book your reading, badboy. I have never heard anyone refer to communism as a terrorist organization. Communism is a form and philosophy of government, I think. Terrorism, however, is a tactic.
